Verosol Fabrics awarded GREENGUARD certification
As of September 2008, Verosol Fabrics B.V. has obtained GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certificationâ and the more stringent Children & SchoolsSM Certification for seven fabrics for solar control applications. These certified products will feature the GREENGUARD logo.
The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) awarded these certifications to Verosol’s Originals series (812, 816, 849, 878), SilverScreen and EnviroScreen (802, 810). All of the certified fabrics are eco-friendly products and recyclable and free of harmful substances. The Verosol Originals and EnviroScreen are made of 100% polyester, completely free of PVC and like SilverScreen contribute to a significant reduction in energy costs and therefore CO2-emissions.
To achieve GREENGUARD certification, a product must undergo thorough emissions testing overseen by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute in Atlanta, Ga. GEI is an industry-independent, non-profit organization that certifies a wide range of building products and materials and sets worldwide standards for safe emissions levels. With their Certification Program, GREENGUARD accepts only products with chemical emissions that meet acceptable indoor air quality guidelines.
Verosol Fabrics B.V. is a worldwide supplier of branded quality solutions for solar control. Verosol is renowned for its metallised fabrics, the ultimate solution for excessive solar heat and glare. Verosol, an ISO 14001 certified company, has made sustainability an integral part of it’s standard management practices since it was established more than 40 years ago. The GREENGUARD certifications Verosol received from the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute further supports this.
